Bah, advertising!Categories: Life in general
"More Smart.
More Safe.
Mortein.”
You know, i dont think its a language issue, i think advertisers are just really poorly educated in any country.
And, while we are on the topic, I am so glad to know that I am here! The advertising campaign currently promoting Adelaide with the slogan “You are here” is obviously directed at returnees (are there so many of us?), and i for one have taken it very personally, and have been on the whole delighted to be constantly reassured that I “...are here”. Im often a little disoriented, confused and unsure about where i am… however I kinda wonder how the rest of Adelaide feels about banners on flagpoles with “You are here” all over them, and the ads on tv, and the cost...? Were you all really thinking you were somewhere else? Were you so confused that a huge government advertising campaign was really necessary? Well y’all aren’t confused anymore, are y’all! (I miss the texans in my life!)
Third day in a row over 40 degrees. You Tokyo folk are expecting snow today! Now that im really sure about where I am, Im off to the beach! Seeya!

Nah - the “You are here” is to remind all those people who are not firing on all cylinders or under the influence of mind altering substances where they are…
