Happy but limpingCategories: Life in progress Conflict management
Its been an interesting week. Ive had tendonitis in the right ankle, so walking has been painful and sometimes not possible this week. But since it seems that i “have feet fated to be ill”, this wont surprise any of you!
The placement has been simply fabulous. As i said before my boss is excellent and that just makes the whole experience much more valuable. I have the opportunity to be both a student and a teacher at different training sessions, including some in towns outside Adelaide. I am starting up a project aimed at getting the organisation more involved in workplace conferencing, and doing a bit of research to support it. And then there are also chances to see different aspects of restorative justice in the traditional justice system. This week I could have seen someone deliver a victim impact statement, but unfortunately I was busy being limpy, and had i not been limpy I would have been working anyway…. Oh well. There will be other chances. I’m still looking forward to it.
This weekend I have been able to wrangle a couple of days back in Stansbury (thanks to the generosity of Michael and Sue again!), and so this sunny, warm weekend will be spent on Yorkes Peninsular with Yuji, enjoying the stars, fresh air, the lack of computer and a brief break from study before things start to get really frantic in the next few weeks. I hope your weekend is a good one too!
