...my father sends me this. I am completely puzzled by it, i cant place it timewise or locationwise at all…

and im officially allowed to say im leaving and heading to Oz via Thailand in November, and im saying it just cos i can. Gotta go pack for Niijima again now…

  Natalie, yes, permanently. Abandoning Japan. Not in the way that one would leave a lover with whom it wasnt working out, more in the way that one would leave a lover that was dear for another that held so much more promise, new beginnings and opportunities, and had a house conveniently located near family and old friends and the beach.

  I was thinking this must have been some odd, high-spirited costume done up with limited resources. Dress Like A Baby day or Come As You Are Not or some such group-enforced silliness.

  Why is it that parents keep these embarassing photos and then decide to let them loose and a new round of public humiliation thinking that you would now find these less idyllic memories of childhood cute? As for Oz I can’t wait to see you back here.
