Things I’m learning:Categories: Alchemy
A few weeks ago, it was one foot in front of the other and it felt like both climbing up and down Mt. Fuji: Up where the only way was up, and the goal was clear but seemingly (and for me actually) unreachable, and i could only think about each step and not the distance left to travel; and then down again where the only way was down and no matter how exhausted i was it was hard to slow down and the 5th station kinda rushed up to meet me. Now its one step at a time, which means that I have to decide at every step which direction to go. There are many kinds of path and many kinds of walking.
There is nothing to be gained from making plans very far in advance. Knowing what you want to do and figuring out how to get where you want to go does not mean you need to plan it all ahead of time.
People think im 25ish! And when i talk to them, i realise how far from 25 i actually am.
Best lesson from the book im reading: If you want the world to be covered with soft leather to make walking easier, its going to be an impossible job. But hey, if you just cover your feet with leather, then you got what you wanted.
Ive just discovered that its after 4pm, golden hour, time to get out there! End of lessons learned.

talking about meeting younger people, was drinking with some people 10 years younger than me the other day. didn’t make me feel old, but made me aware of how far i’ve come. i’ve actually reached an age where i can legally drink with people 10 years younger…wow!then we proceed to get drunk and talk crap.
nothing much changes, yet it constantly does. such is life! -

Hello funky people,
Due to back end changes I am unable to update at the moment, but fear not, i am still here!
I am just now back from 4 days in Siem Riep, Cambodia, the city closest to Angkor Wat and the multitude of sites that surround it. I spent those days on the back of a motorbike, zooming around from temple ruin to temple ruin, and taking about 300 photos altogether. It was amazing. Words fail me, but thats mostly cos I just got off the bus, 12 hours of travel… Im kinda tired of travel actually, ready to be home now and start consolidating and nesting again instead of spending and flitting.Im missing everyone now, it took a while but its sinking in slowly. I am meeting new people and saying goodbye again, but you guys are all pretty special. Why did i leave again? Oh thats right… Now if you could all just cross your fingers and or throw a coin in the temple offereing box for me, and hope that i made it into uni.
til soon…
