Kandagawa river: Full

Suddenly, it was pouring. Ive never seen waves flow down the side of a building before. I was lucky enough to be in a particularly low part of Shimokitazawa and the roads were rivers. Like, halfway up car tyres. On the way home in the car, going ove the river near home, sure enough, it was full. Fuller than ive ever seen it. If it rains much more, the apartment might flood! How cool would that be!!!!!!!

Meenoo has resolved to wake up at regular intervals during the night to check if we are flooding, but since she sleeps on a futon on the floor (as do I) near the door, i think she might be the first to know anyway. The rain has eased as suddenly as it came, so I think we might be ok for now… Ill let her keep tabs on it I think. its been a big weekend and Im not sure that I would wake up until I was floating away, Im so tired. Bed now. Fingers crossed work is cancceled tomorrow.

Maybe the sky was crying for the Bean’s leaving tomorrow? Maybe the weather is trying to keep her here?

      Damn, that photo looks terrible.

I can well believe that we got hit by the most rain, Ms. Pixie got stranded in Shibuya, apparently Medaimae flooded and so the Inokashira line stopped. She couldnt get home, the taxi’s were all full.

Im so frustrated today, my computer here at work is refusing to communicate with the internet, and I didnt bring any work with me to do for the first time in ages, so im sitting here twiddling my thumbs and checking email in breif bursts from the guy next to me’s computer…. grrr….

Wow, I slept right through it, but tenki,jp says it rained 65.5 mm from midnight -1 am. Crap, that’s a lot.

Yep and I slept like a log all through the night leaving us to be potentially washed away… with my essential papers and documents secured in a plastic box in the bathroom. Oh I am ready. At least when a disaster hits Tokyo I’ll still be able to prove I have a degree.
